Open Water Course
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you start by getting your materials from one of our centres - you have some self study work to complete and you'll bring that to your first session. Your instructor will help expand your diving knowledge in the classroom before getting into the pool for your confined sessions. You'll need to complete a 10 minute float/tread and 200m swim (or 300m snorkel swim). You will then complete 4 open water dives in order to gain your certification as a open water diver.
Earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification is just the beginning. As a certified diver, fabulous dive destinations, exciting people, unparalleled adventure and uncommon tranquility await you. And, as you continue your adventure and gain experience through higher training levels, your opportunities expand.
We offer regular trips throughout the year both in UK and overseas, we also have an active dive club where you'll make new friends and meet new dive buddies. Once you start you'll wonder why you left it so long.
Advanced Open Water Course
Move up and experience real adventure with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. As you step beyond the PADI Open Water Diver level, you make five dives and have the opportunity to try some of diving’s most rewarding and useful specialty activities, such as multi level diving, digital underwater photography, wreck diving and much more.
Over two days you'll complete two core dives (deep and navigation) and then choose three other dives. Although their is some self study this course is really designed to get you into the water and gaining experience as a diver.
These skills make diving much more than underwater sightseeing.
Plus, the Advanced Open Water Diver course takes you one step closer to Master Scuba Diver – the ultimate non professional certification in recreational diving.
Rescue Diver
Challenging and rewarding best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Many divers say this is the best course they’ve ever taken.
You'll start by completing some self study work, then we get you into the classroom to check your understanding. We generally get you into the pool in order to try out some of the rescue skills for the first time. Then we move to Open Water where you'll complete your ten exercises and 4 scenarios.
You must complete a First Aid course prior to the open water work. We offer the Emergency First Reponder courses as part of the Recue Diver Course.

The course consists of four dives which progressively cover the techniques of deep diving, and includes theoretical information about equipment, techniques, physiological and physical factors, emergency procedures, and the importance of proper planning.
Properly used, deep diving is a useful tool, in the same sense as a dive boat is, to be used as a means of getting a diver to a particular dive site. Remember, deep diving should have a specific purpose, not be undertaken for the sake of a deep dive.
Digital Underwater Photographer
With the advent of cheap electrical products, underwater cameras and housings have become much more accessible to all divers. Anyone can now go out and take pictures, but like all good photgraphers you need some one to show you the ropes so you can learn the tricks of the trade.
DUP teaches you the basics of underwater photography, such as composition and camera handling with special emphasis on practical techniques. You'll also learn about DUP dive planning, organisation, procedures, techniques and potential problems.
Finally you learn how to care for and maintain your precious camera equipment.
Level 1 DUP is conducted in the pool - ideal for snorkelers or open water divers

This course is classroom based with some knowledge development, you'll also learn the different types of oxygen delivery systems available with the advantages and disadvatages of each.
Finally you'll put all the knowledge into practise working through several scenarios to achieve confidence in oxygen use.
Enriched Air
There is always a reason to end a dive - mostly is because you are getting low on air, but sometimes they can be extended by getting a bigger cylinder. What about getting near your no decompression limits? Well thats also fairly easy - you can complete the Enriched Air Diver specialty.
The course teaches the diver how to plan and makes no decompression dives using enriched air blends containing anything from 22-40% Oxygen.
The benefits of Enriched Air Nitrox are gained from the reduction of absorbed nitrogen in the divers body. The main reason why EANx is so popular is that divers can use this gas in two ways. Many divers use Enriched Air with air tables and air computers to increase the conservation of their dive profiles. Others use the benefit of reduced nitrogen in the body to extend bottom times, particularly when exploring the 20-30m depth zones.
Equipment Specialist
The goal of this course to familiarise you with the operation and mainteance of diving equipment. It is not an equipment repair course since the goals of the course are to:
Develop your practical knowledge of the theory, principals and operation of diving equipment. This will enable you to perform routine, recommended care and maintenance procedures.
You'll learn how to store equipment properly and we will give you simple suggestions for comfortable equipment configurations as well as introducing you to new equipment.
The course is classroom based and last 3-4 hours.

Have you been diving recently - come up from a dive and asked your buddy "what was that fish with the big lips and the beard?" Of course your buddy answers " I have no idea, but big wasnt it!"
You go home and tell everyone all about your big fish, but wouldnt it be great if you could say actually it was a cod!
The Fish Identification course provides basic identification and survey techniques, developing characteristics of local fish families and species.
This is a two dive course with knowledge development session.
Multi Level Diver
This courses teaches you how to get the most out of your dive computer and the new PADI erdpML. Allowing you to extend your bottom time by crediting you for slower nitrogen absorption when continuing a dive at a shallower depth.
The course is conducted over two dives with some knowledge development. You'll learn theory, skills, knowledge, planning, organisation, procedures, hazards, benefits and enjoyment of multi level diving.
During your course you'll learn to plan and then dive a 2 and 3 different level dive.
National Geographic Diver
This programme is now available to all levels of diver from beginner to experienced divers wanting to extend their portfolio of skills.

Different typesof lighting systems - torches, lanterns, chemical lights, etc You will also be shown various ways of communicationg with your buddy underwater and any support crew on the surface.
The course is designed to introduce divers to the skills, knowledge, planning procedures, techniques and enjoyment of night diving.
The course involves three open water dives and some self study.
Peak Performance Buoyancy
Bouyancy control is one of the most important skills that a diver can master. It not only helps a diver to conserve energy and to move effortlessly through the water, but helps to protect the underwater environment. Its not a skill that is fine-tuned over night, but comes with practice and patience.
The PPB course is designed for divers of any level wishing to work toward perfecting their buoyancy skills for whatever reason, be it to get that perfect underwater shot, or to manoeuvre into a position so as to better see the underside of a dramatic overhang.
Correct weighting is essential and this is covered, along with streamlining equipment, working on a good body position and correct breathing and finning techniques.
During the course you will complete two open water dives.
Project AWARE
The Project AWARE Foundation is a non-profit, public benefit corporation that encourages and supports aquatic ecology and education.
On this classroom based course you'll look at how Project AWARE is protecting our aquatic resources. How and why our aquatic world is in peril. You'll learn all about concerns over fishing, coastal zones, coral reefs and marine pollution.
You'll also have an overview of the degraded marine environment and what you as a diver can do to protect our aquatic environment.
Search and Recovery
The purpose of the Search and Recovery course is to familiarise divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and fun of search and recovery diving.
The goals are to develop your practical knowledge of searching and then recovering an object underwater.
You will also learn how to plan and organize and then conduct your search and recovery.
This is a 4 dive specialty.
Underwater Naturalist
The underwater naturalist course is often over looked by divers but it does have four main purposes -
Its designed to create an awareness for those that enter the underwater world - we are a privilged group that have personal experiences with aquatic life.
It evokes a sense of responsibility - getting divers to accept and foster a sense of respect for our underwater world. Expand the public's knowledge of our aquatic environment. Recruit nondivers into our world getting them to help us in our quest to keep our underwater world in fantastic shape.
This is a two dive specialty where you'll look into different groups of plants, animals and fish underwater.
Underwater Navigator
You make your way underwater and get to the bottom of the descent line. The boat skipper said that the wreck was on a bearing of 110, so you set your compass and arrive at the wreck. After completing your dive you make a reciprocal heading with your compass and head back to the line for the ascent. An easy way to get to your dive site and back again.
During the navigation course you'll learn all about how to hold and use your compass correctly. Different ways of measuring distance underwater and how we can use natural features in order to navigate our way around a dive site.
You'll complete a knowledge development session and then three open water dives on your way to become a navigation specialty diver.
Underwater Photographer
This course has been overlooked recently with the advent of digital underwater cameras and housing. But the photographer course can help you take film photographs underwater. We will fine tune your skills in order for you to produce photographs that stun your non-diving friends.
You'll learn the basics of underwater photography, such as composition, film type and camera handling, with special emphasis on practical techniques.
You'll also learn about planning, organising, procedures, techniques and potential problems with underwater photography.
Finally we will look at how to care for and maintain your camera equipment.
This is a two dive specialty.
Underwater Videographer
The purpose of the course is to familiarise you with the basic underwater hardware, use and maintenance and diving techniques. By the end of the course you'll be able to select an underwater video system based on personal preferences.
You will be able to demonstrate safe diving practices whilst diving with an underwater video unit. You also be able to set up, maintain and disassemble a video camera, housing and lighting system.
This course involves a knowledge development session and then 3 open water dives where you will use an underwater video unit.
Wreck
Diving on wrecks is consistently near the top of the list whenever you ask a diver what their favourate types of dives are, but it can be one of the most challenging environments due to the nature of what you are exploring. The best way to explore wrecks is by completing the specialty course.
The course consists of some knowledge development and then four open water training dives, the last being an optional penetration dive. If you dont wish to enter a wreck then thats fine - there is no requirement.
The ultimate goal of the course is to enable you to plan and execute safe dives on and around wrecks.
